- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Completely disorganised, with processes that are antiquated and bound to fail. Simply referred by Boots Optician (by fax!) for a consultation. Nothing heard for 3 weeks, chased the matter up and BMI state that they never received the referral. Boots adamant that they sent it. No follow-up calls from BMI to me resolving the situation. I am the MD of a large physiotherapy company and I understand the importance of service delivery and patient care, which are sadly lacking at this hospital.by Wayne BernsteinSeptember 03, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Disgusted at the service I have received, or HAVEN'T should I say. I was referred to the BMI Hospital to see a Gynaecologist who was very helpful and organised for me to have a laparoscopy procedure to find out the cause of my symptoms. I received my referral letter with the date for my procedure (24th May 2017), to be told on Thursday 4th May that my procedure was cancelled due to me being the only person on the list for that operation, I was very disappointed seeing as I'd waited and AM STILL WAITING for this operation for over 16 MONTHS!!!! I then received a phonecall to say "Keep in your head that it will be the 24th but we may ring and cancel anytime before that date", again disappointment and anger built inside me making my symptoms worse may I add. I waited everyday to be told something different again seeing as the story was changing every 5 minutes, very unprofessional! I attended the hospital for a Pre-Assesment with Natalie, very lovely lady who chased up the operation for me as she said it was still booked in on her screen and was very sympathetic at how long I had been waiting! She said the reason for cancelling the operation is because there "isn't an anaethesist present that day of the 24th". So I have also been lied to by your staff at BMI somewhere along the line. At this point I am feeling pretty worthless as a patient considering I work to pay for these services. I went for blood tests yesterday and was told the operation was going ahead and they would see me Wednesday much to my relief after waiting so long, booking time off and also cancelling plans for my birthday. I received a phonecall no longer than 10 minutes after my appointment to say the op has been cancelled because "we won't open theatre for one person". I burst into tears yet again, which caused another flare up of my symptoms which meant I couldn't attend work. I have now been told I have to wait for someone else to need surgery before they can carry out my procedure. I am disgusted by your service and will be taking my complaints further. 16 months of waiting for an official date to finally get some answers to have all my hopes stripped away again. Unprofessional, unorganised and very poor. No stars given as far as I am concerned but unfortunately I couldn't post this comment without putting one in.by Natasha SampsonJune 17, 2017
